Looking for a fun and memorable place to celebrate your child’s next birthday? Celebrate at the Farmington Valley YMCA! We offer a variety of exciting party options designed to create an unforgettable experience for your child and their friends.

Each party includes an enthusiastic staff member who will lead organized games and activities, ensuring the celebration is engaging, active, and stress-free for parents. From start to finish, we’re here to help — including taking care of the clean up at the end.

Pool Parties

Ages 7 and Up
Make a splash at your pool party! Pool parties include an hour in the warm water pool exclusively for your party, as well as an hour in your party room. This party is for children 7 and older and accommodates up to 20 children. *The pool portion of parties is subject to change due to weather or any other unexpected circumstances.

Climbing Party

Ages 4 and Up
Climbing parties give children an exciting opportunity to climb to new heights on our climbing wall. All climbing equipment is included. This party includes between an hour and an hour and a half of climbing time, and 45 minutes in the party room! Minimum participants 6; Maximum participants 15. 

  • Saturday: 1:30pm-3:30pm
  • Sunday: 11:00am-1:00pm
Sports Spectacular Parties

Ages 4 to 12
Sports Parties have 2-3 activities to choose from. Choices include: indoor soccer, basketball, dodgeball, and other gym games. These parties are two hours long. Sports Spectacular parties include an hour in the party room and one hour of supervised and structured activities.  Maximum participants 20 for current price.

  • Saturday: 1:30pm-3:30pm
  • Sunday: 11:00am-1:00pm OR 1:30pm-3:30pm
Room Rental

The floor is yours! You can rent a room for two hours to have any other type of party you might want, such as a baby shower or graduation party. If you need a space, we have it!

Birthday Party FAQs

We have sports, pool, and climbing parties.

a.    Climbing - Saturdays 1:30PM - 3:30PM, Sundays 1:30PM-3:30PM
b.    Sports - Saturdays 1:30-3:30PM, Sundays 11:00AM-1:00PM and 1:30-3:30PM
c.    Pool - Sundays 11:00AM-1:00PM and 1:30-3:30PM
d.    Please call ahead as days and times are subject to change.

Birthday party pricing is $275 for members and $395 for non-members. Pool parties are available at a rate of $375 for members and $495 for non-members.

 

Sports and gymnastics parties include up to 20 participants. 

Pool parties also include up to 20 participants, with a maximum of 25 swimmers.  All swimmers must complete our Test, Mark, Protect procedures.  Any child under 7 must have a parent in the water within arm’s reach. 

Climbing parties have a maximum of 15 participants. 

Additional participants can be added for $10 per person, with payment due on the day of the party.

To book a birthday party, please complete the inquiry form on our website. Once submitted, a coordinator will contact you to review available dates. After selecting a date, full payment and a signed contract are required to secure your reservation (payment plans may be available if needed). The contract will outline key details such as date, time, and number of attendees, and a week prior to your event, a coordinator will follow up to confirm all final details.

On the day of your party, setup begins 30 minutes prior to your scheduled start time. All participants must complete a waiver, which can be picked up at the welcome desk. During the party, a dedicated instructor will be present to lead activities. For pool parties, a certified lifeguard will be on duty, and all swimmers must complete our Test, Mark, Protect procedure. Children under 7 or those who do not pass the yellow swim test must have a parent in the water within arm’s reach. For sports and climbing parties, trained staff will be available to assist throughout the event.

We provide the party space along with tables and chairs, and you’ll also have access to a small kitchen equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, and stove. The birthday child will receive a YMCA birthday shirt, and you may arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled time to set up. For pool parties, all participants will complete a swim test; any additional questions about the test can be directed to our Aquatics Department.
 

Our primary party space is located in the community room, which includes access to a small kitchen area. The space is divided into two sections: Community Room A and Community Room B.

Yes, you are welcome to bring your own tableware and themed paperware.

Yes, you’re welcome to bring your own food or arrange delivery, and you may bring props. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted.
