There is no better place to learn to swim than at the YMCA—often referred to as "America's Favorite Swim Instructor"! These swim lessons teach children valuable life skills, including personal safety, personal growth, stroke development, rescue, and water sports and games. YMCA swim lessons focus on positive values in a fun and caring atmosphere, and these swim lessons teach basic skills progressing through the levels.
APRIL 2018 LIFEGUARD CLASS
Youth Sports Corner
Your kids will love our instructional sports programs that introduce them to the fundamentals of sports of all sorts! Parents love that the YMCAs four core values—respect, responsibility, honesty, and caring—are infused into every class so that kids focus on the value of sportsmanship and healthy competition rather than rivalry, right from the start! And every kid plays! These programs encourage team building, individual development, positive self-image, and a sense of fair play and mutual respect for others.
Child Development Corner

Well-trained professional staff give your child the attention and care that they need in a nurturing home-like environment. INFANT, TODDLER, NURSERY AND PRESCHOOL PROGRAMS
The YMCA's Before & After School program offers quality care for elementary-age children, in a safe, secure environment. We offer a curriculum that appeals to kids while teaching confidence, encouraging self-expression, and enriching social development—all under the watchful eyes of trained and caring staff. Fully state licensed. We also provide other after school programs offering enrichment activities for kids and teens. Click on "More Stuff for Kids and Teens!"
VACATION CLUBS & SNOW DAYS
Our Preschool Child Care programs provide excellent care for children in a nurturing environment. The curriculum at our early childhood learning centers are designed to offer enrichment child care, catering to families that value education beyond traditional child care. We provide an engaging environment for your child to explore activities in literacy, mathematics, science, social studies, arts, technology, healthy habits, and social, moral, and spiritual development. Some sites NAEYC accredited. Fully state licensed.
Throughout the school year, there are many occasions for schools to close—holidays, snow days, and school breaks. At the YMCA, we realize the importance of providing a safe environment for these elementary-age students during the time that schools are not operating. These are fun-filled days at the YMCA that include art projects, games, and swimming.
