"LET'S MAKE A SPLASH, TOGETHER."
Community members, along with the YMCA of Greater Hartford, are working together to create a full-service Regional Community YMCA Family Center in the Putnam community.
The intent of the Regional Community YMCA Family Center is to enrich the lives of the children, families and active older adults we hope to serve.
As a community led project, the services to be provided by this full-service facility will be based upon the needs within the greater Putnam community as determined by a board of local volunteers. Nonetheless, it is envisioned that the facility will, minimally, feature: a state-of-the-art swim center; health and wellness opportunities for all ages; programming for cancer survivors; initiatives to keep youth engaged in school; and child care services for exercising parents. Most importantly, all programs and services will be affordable and accessible to all.
At the Y, strengthening the foundations of community is our cause. We look forward to working with the Putnam Community in support of youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
Sincerely,
James O’S. Morton
President & CEO
