Calendar Summary – The first Old Guard meeting of the term is the first Tuesday in September. Meetings occur weekly throughout the year and end in May with the Annual Luncheon. Activities for the following month are mailed in the Monthly Newsletter or available on-line at oldguardct.org.
SPECIAL EVENTS - The Old Guard participates in many group travel activities throughout the year.
Annual Luncheon — The Annual Luncheon meeting takes place on the third Tuesday of May.
Weather Cancellation Policy - Meetings are canceled if West Hartford public schools are canceled or have a delayed opening....Or during a scheduled vacation day, any West Hartford based college or private school is closed or delayed. Links to local TV web pages provide a quick way to see if there is a weather cancellation.

50th Year of Old Guard Meetings - The day after Labor Day marks the resumption of weekly meetings of the Old Guard of Connecticut, commemorating their 50th year with special events. Former Old Guard President Robert Hill says that "this year we celebrate 50 years of Old Guard service to the Hartford Community. Our volunteers with the UCONN Health Center, Meals on Wheels, the Senior Job Bank, the YMCA, the Salvation Army and Food Bank will be given special recognition at our meetings by these organizations, for the thousands of volunteer hours that they have contributed.
