02 - Traditional - Camp Pyquag (Grades K-6) Full Day with Three-Day Option

Our camp is designed to provide campers with an array of theme-specific weeks with corresponding activities. Each day is filled with fun and exciting experiences which promote individual development, team spirit, and an overall sense of accomplishment. All aspects of our day camp program strive to put our YMCA Mission into action - to help grow in spirit, mind, and body!
Each camper will have a counselor and home that he or she will stay with for the majority of the session. Our camp day structure encourages children to break out of their shell, develop relationships, and try new things.
Specialty Camp is now included in the daily schedule for all campers! Campers will get to choose one of the four specialties being offered each week. For an activity period every day, campers will hone in on their particular skill and have different options each session. Some of the activities available at camp this year will be sports, arts, team building, field games, drama, dancing, swimming, nature studies, Olympics, eating, developing their own videos, and mystery challenges.
Each camper should bring a labeled bag lunch, drinks and three snacks each day. Your child should also have a swimsuit and towel, as well as a bottle of sunscreen for reapplying throughout the day. Please apply sunscreen prior to coming to camp in the morning. Valuables such as video games, mp3 players, jewelry, cell phone, etc. should not be brought to camp. The YMCA is not responsible for lost items.
Five Day and Three Day options are available each week. A complete medical form showing that your child has a physical within the last two years will be required before your child is allowed to attend camp. If you are a returning camper, please check to make sure that your physical is within the guidelines.
