The YMCA of Greater Hartford is an association, open to all and committed to helping people develop their God-given potential in spirit, mind and body. Our commitment is based on the belief that the purpose of this three-fold development is to live out the values of our Judeo-Christian heritage, including caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

Welcome to Camp Jewell, a pioneer in year-round camping since 1901.
Since 1901, Camp Jewell YMCA has facilitated the building of lasting and meaningful relationships between campers, families, guests, staff, and members of our camp community.
Located on a picturesque 540 acre site surrounding Triangle Lake in Colebrook, Connecticut, Camp Jewell YMCA has both the dedicated staff and excellent facilities to offer unique and exciting programs for you, your child, or your organization.
All of our programs strive to foster an appreciation for each other through our YMCA values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility.
Community Partnerships
As part of our strong, mission based philosophy, we have developed partnerships
with several community organizations, including the American Cancer Society, Family & Children's Aid, United Way, Casey Family Services, Builders Beyond Borders, Readers as Leaders and Common Ground.
