YMCA of Greater Hartford awarded a $850,000 challenge grant for a new YMCA Youth and Family Center in North Hartford

The Kresge Foundation of Troy, Michigan has awarded an $850,000 challenge grant to the YMCA of Greater Hartford to complete the capital campaign for the new YMCA Youth and Family Center at 430 Albany Avenue in North Hartford. The grant, which is made on a challenge basis to assist the YMCA in raising the balance of funds required to complete its capital campaign goal, will be applied toward the construction of the new facility at the corner of Albany Avenue and Brook Street.

New Upper Albany Neighborhood Town Green Emerges with a YMCA Youth and Family Center Groundbreaking

The YMCA of Greater Hartford celebrated the new YMCA Youth and Family Center at the corner of Albany Avenue and Brook Street in Hartford with a groundbreaking ceremony Thursday (April 10). Hartford Foundation awards $1 million for two new YMCA facilities in Greater Hartford

The Hartford Foundation for Public Giving has awarded a grant of $1 million to the YMCA of Greater Hartford for the construction of two new YMCA facilities – $500,000 each for facilities on Albany Avenue in North Hartford and in Ellington. The new facilities will provide a wide range of health, wellness, educational and recreational services and programs for all ages.
