East Hartford >> About Us >> Volunteer
Volunteering demonstrates caring for others and offers the opportunity to improve the lives of children and families, creating a caring society. By giving your time with the YMCA to benefit others, you have the opportunity to build new relationships, learn and grow while having fun.
Program Volunteers-Those who have direct contact with Y members and people in the community. They help the Y lead and deliver programs and services, help with membership, or serve on program advisory councils. Coaches, teen leaders and more!
Administrative Support Volunteers-Those who help out in the office, in the locker room, in the gymnasium, on the grounds, and in many other important ways.
Fundraising Volunteers-Those responsible for the leadership and legwork that goes into successful fundraising campaigns like Strong Kids Annual Fund and other events. In keeping with our mission, we are here to serve all people in the community, regardless of their ability to pay. The Strong Kids Annual Fund and other events support the financial assistance program.
Policy Volunteers-Those who serve on Y boards and committees, and those who act as trustees. Do you have skills in finance, human resources, real estate, construction, legal or public relations?
