The West Hartford YMCA is proud to offer a variety of fun and enriching summer options for children ages 3 through 15. Each of our programs is age appropriate and includes some of our most popular sports, games and activities.
All summer programs will be held at the YMCA Sports Center located at the Archdiocesan Center at St. Thomas Seminary 467 Bloomfield Avenue Bloomfield, CT 06002
Our full-day camp programs are State-licensed and American Camping Association Accredited.

For campers entering grades K 9
Summer Adventure Camp is held at the YMCA Sports Center Located at The Archdiocesan Center at St. Thomas Seminary and is offered in nine one-week sessions. This state-licensed, ACA-accredited program is filled with fun and enriching experiences which promote skill development, self-confidence, and most of all FUN! All aspects of our day Camp program strive to put our YMCA mission into action.
Each Camper will have a head counselor and home group that he or she checks in with throughout the Camp day. Camp will begin with opening ceremonies each day, then campers will split into their home groups. Closing ceremonies will end each day. During the day, a variety of choices will be available and campers will sign up for their activities at the beginning of the day.
Some of the activities available at Camp this year will be sports (basketball, soccer, baseball, kickball, NEW YMCA Blastball, etc), arts and crafts, teambuilding, field games, drama activities, archery (for grades 3 and up), recreational swimming (three days per week), nature study and more.
Each Camper should bring a labeled paper bag lunch, drinks and two snacks each day. Your child should also have a swim suit and towel as well as a bottle of sunscreen for reapplying throughout the day. Please have camper apply sunscreen prior to arriving at camp. Valuables such as video games, mp3 players, jewelry, toys, cell phones, etc. should not be brought to camp. The YMCA is not responsible for lost valuables.
Full-Day and Half-Day options available, based on availability. If you select the half-day option, either a.m. or p.m. must be selected for the entire week.
All participants must have a valid Greater Hartford YMCA membership.
Campers will be placed in the following groups by grade:
Kindergarten Grade 2: Falcons
Grade 3 6: Hawks
Grade 7 9: Eagles
Summer Adventure Camp is offered Sessions 19.
Camp Hours: 7:00 a.m. 6:00 p.m.
(Camp activities run from 9:00 a.m. 4:00 p.m.)

Summer Adventure Camp Family Nights
Each summer we have family nights that give Campers the opportunity to show parents around Camp, meet other families, and have fun together. We have three nights planned for this summer.
