Preschool New Games Sports Explosion

Age 3 – 5 years old

Sports of all sorts! The focus is on learning the concepts and fundamentals of a variety of games. Physical activities incorporate teamwork, trust, and skills needed to have fun as well as the basics of traditional and nontraditional games.

Animal Adventures

Age 3 – 5 years old

This half - day preschool camp is for all animal lovers. Campers will enjoy lots of fun and furry activities including live animal visits, and animal arts and crafts. Above all, campers will make new friends and have a great YMCA experience.

Dinosaur Camp

Age 3 – 5 years old

Preschoolers will enter the prehistoric world of Dinosaurs as they participate in many fun dinosaur themed activities. Campers will learn the different types of dinosaurs, dig for dinosaur bones, go on a dinosaur hunt, create their own dinosaurs, and sing some popular purple dinosaur songs. So popular, we are offering it twice this summer.

Fairy Tale Camp

Age 3 – 5 years old

Preschoolers will delve in to the wonderful world of Peter Pan, Cinderella, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Sleeping Beauty, and Goldilocks as they read about the character’s fun adventures. There will also be theme related art and of course lots of dress up and dramatic play.

Community Hero Preschool Camp

Age 3 – 5 years old

This camp is a fun summer camp experience that will help preschoolers to build their sense of community. A community hero will visit each day. Children will meet heros such as a real live policeman, fireman, postman, and crossing guard. Children will also enjoy theme related art, and play activities!

Tumble Bugs Preschool Camp

Age 3 – 5 years old

Preschoolers will enjoy spending each morning in the air conditioned Y mini gym jumping, climbing, tumbling, and sliding. Children will have fun moving to music, singing, playing with soft balls, and puppets. Children will even get a chance to climb our new preschool rock wall. What better way for a preschooler to spend their morning?!

Puppet Pals

Age 3 – 5 years old

Children will experience magic as they see their favorite stories come to life through puppets. Each day children will make a different kind of puppet and practice their social skills in our puppet theater. Sock puppets, finger puppets, marionettes – they’ll all be playing together at Puppet Pals.

Go Diego Go!

Age 3 – 5 years old

Go on a rescue adventure! We’ll spy on animals with our binoculars and set up a make believe animal hospital. During our rescue missions we’ll search for animals who need help and along the way we will learn many animal facts. We’ll also have visits from some real live animals. Coloring in our field journals, learning animal noises and playing Diego games will make this camp a roaring good time.

Trains, Planes and Automobiles!

Age 3 – 5 years old

Everything that goes! Does your preschool love Thomas the Train? Construction Trucks and Race Cars? Jay, Jay the Jet Plane? If so, you have found the right camp. We’ll all have a great time with transportation themed fun and games. Singing “The Wheels on the Bus”, building a car out of cardboard boxes, and painting our own train engines are some of the planned activities. Children will especially love driving bikes and ride on toys on our make believe road.

NEW! Thursday Nights are Family Camp Nights!!!!

 

Each Thursday night parents can meet their campers at Yankee Trails starting at 5:00pm. All camp activities such as the waterfront, boating and archery will be open for parents and children to enjoy together. Families can savor hot dogs, chips and juice at the YMCA Barbecue or bring your own supper to enjoy. Take a hike after you eat and enjoy quality time with your family.

 

Camp closes at 7:30pm.
