Camp Yankee Trails Specialty Camps

Age 6 – 13 years old

It’s not just a camp, it’s an adventure!

Tucked away in the beautiful natural hillside amidst Sweetheart Lake in Tolland lies Yankee Trails Program Center, home of the Indian Valley YMCA’s premier ACA accredited summer day camp program. At Yankee Trails campers enter a whole new world as they explore through the wooded trails, canoe and swim in the crisp, cool lake, and make new friends in an encouraging and friendly environment.

Swimming, arts and crafts, mountain boarding, biking, archery, boating, outdoor cooking, sports and games, nature activities, music, and drama are among the many activities we offer. Each day campers have the opportunity to choose the activities they would like to participate in. Certain activities may be limited to certain age groups. Each camper is grouped according to age and is assigned a home group and counselor to promote a sense of belonging, teamwork, and friendship.

All activities are run by our well qualified and well trained staff and operate in accordance with our values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. At Yankee Trails it is our goal to make a positive impact on each camper as they experience the beautiful, natural world of Yankee trails.
