Satisfaction Guarantee
For Full Facility Members:
If you are not satisfied you may request in writing a full credit/refund of your membership dues (including joining fee) within 30 days of the start of your membership. After 30 days, a credit/refund will be issued for the unused portion of your membership dues. (Joining fee will not be credited/refunded. If the YMCA cancels a program, a credit/refund of program fee will be issued to you.)
For Program Members:
If you are not satisfied you may request in writing a full credit/refund of your program fee before the second class. You may also request a full credit/refund of your membership dues within 30 days of the start of your membership.
Credits/Refunds
- Withdrawal of Full Facility Membership due to medical reasons: full credit/refund for the unused portion of Membership Fee (excludes Joiner Fee); doctor’s note required.
- If the YMCA cancels a program, a credit/refund of program fee will be issued to you.
- Withdrawal of Program Membership due to medical reasons: full credit/refund for the unused portion of the Program Fee (excludes Membership Fee); doctor’s note required.
- Suspension or termination of Full Facility Membership: full credit/refund for the unused portion of your membership (excluding Joiner Fee).
- Suspension or termination of Program Membership: full credit/refund for the unused portion of your program fee (excluding Program Membership Fee).
- Returned payment: Member responsible for service fee.
- Deposits: All deposits are for the purpose of securing a spot in a program and therefore are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- All credits valid for one year from date of issue.
Membership on Hold
A membership to the YMCA of Greater Hartford can be put on hold one time per calendar year for a full one to three consecutive months. Please see Member Service staff for details.
