The highlight for many media camp participants is creating their own movie—which is put into DVD format for friends and family to enjoy. Campers also enjoy the field trip to Simsbury local television to get a behind-the-scenes peek at television production.

Session 3

Crime Scene Investigation, made popular by the hit television drama on CBS, has become a fascination for many youth in the last ten to fifteen years. During this unique experience, campers spend the first week learning about the process through hands on training, discussions with law enforcement officials, and detailed workshops. The second week is spent solving a mock crime. This is a perfect opportunity for the inquisitive camper who loves to sleuth!
Specialty Camps at Camp Chase are designed to teach, inspire and entertain. Our goals are for campers to learn and grow in whatever activity they are focusing on, while simultaneously developing an appreciation and love for the experience!
Our specialty camps combine both traditional elements of camp (like swimming lessons, free swim, archery, climbing, etc.) with a specific focus in the specialty camp’s area. Campers will have a well-rounded experience, while still getting a healthy dose of their preferred activity.
