Camp Jewell hosts over 20,000 visitors each year who enjoy our beautiful 540 acres, friendly staff, and innovative programs. In the Fall, Winter, and Spring, Outdoor Center guests come to enjoy camp through our conference, teambuilding, and outdoor education programs.
There are two options that Camp Jewell provides to schools interested in an outdoor education experience.

Schools that are interested in a purely science based curriculum, should contact Nature’s Classroom, a separate non-profit organization that specializes in environmental education and utilizes the Camp Jewell YMCA site for their programming. For information about Nature’s Classroom, please contact their office at (800) 433-8375 or www.naturesclassroom.org.

The Teambuilding Program, operated solely by Camp Jewell, aims to improve trust, communication, and teamwork within a group. To supplement the teambuilding program, groups may choose from the list to the right for outdoor education themed activities.
Camp Jewell has two separate, full-service camps within its 540 acres. Our facilities include two winterized dining halls, indoor and outdoor performance areas, three climbing walls, high and low ropes courses, archery range, lighted outdoor sports complex, three arts/crafts studios, mini-farm, and 26 large cabins, all along the picturesque shores of Triangle Lake.
Our winterized sleeping cabins hold up to 26 guests and each comes complete with restrooms and showers. All cabins are carpeted with a lounge and fireplace (except HAW ranch).
Our lakeside dining hall provides a pleasant atmosphere for relaxed dining. Our hearty menu is prepared under the direction of Chef Ken Jaffe and is served either family style or as a buffet. Salad bars, fresh fruit, and vegetarian alternatives are included, as well as 24-hour coffee and hot chocolate!
Seasonal activities available for groups include: hiking, rock climbing, swimming, kayaking, ice-skating, cross country skiing, snow tubing, tennis, soccer, basketball, sailing, horseback riding, archery, candle making, leather craft, bouldering, arts and crafts, and canoeing, just to name a few!
